A Beloved Story, Reimagined for New Readers—and Old Friends

I absolutely loved this book for the intended audience as well as for parents, grandparents, caregivers and others involved in the life of a child.  Children are faced with tremendous pressure to conform and go along with the crowd. Not only do they encounter peer pressure, they are additionally faced with the unrelenting pressure of social media, television and other outside influences. 'I Decide!' creates a welcome and much needed opportunity to discuss and reinforce values.  It is a conversation starter with a message that can be adapted to any age group. I purchased this book for my grand nephews and will be purchasing additional copies for the grandchildren of friends.  I look forward to more books from this gifted and talented author!

I like this story because it is written from a problem/solution point of view. This book can serve as a launch pad for broader discussions about doing the right thing and it can aid children in becoming critical thinkers. Reading this light-hearted text will enhance self-awareness, character development, and conflict resolution.
